Maintain a policy where only renewable and sustainable plant and vegetable derived ingredients are used; Acceptable materials include but are not limited to; “wild crafted” botanicals, essential oils and vegetable oils,natural plant juices, fruit acids, flavor extracts and natural minerals.
All ingredients must be responsibly sourced and there must be traceability of the ingredients through certificates of origin and organic certifications. Materials to avoid include but are not limited to: animal derived ingredients or by-products, artificial flavors and fragrances, synthetic materials, petroleum based ingredients, GMO (genetically modified organism) derived products and propylene glycol. Cholesterol and Stearic acids must be plant derived. Avoid the use of any material releasing 1-4 dioxane as a by-product. Avoid using acrylates and related polymers for thickening. Use only natural thickeners. Avoid using any material containing butane and related derivatives.
