Clove

Obtained from the flower buds of evergreen clove trees grown in Madagascar, clove oil yields a spicy, warm and sweet fragrance. A traditional remedy for toothaches, clove can also be used in mouthwash. Clove contains the powerful terpene eugenol, which contributes to its ability to help alleviate pain and boost the immune system.

Eucalyptus

"Eucalyptus essential oil is an anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, decongestant, deodorant, antiseptic, antibacterial, and a stimulant. Useful in treating respiratory problems, wounds, muscle pain, mental exhaustion, dental care, skin care, diabetes and fever."

Lavender

The soothing scent and calming affect of lavender essential oil is prized for it's ability to restore balance and induce sleep. It is an analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and antifungal and is effective in treating issues with the nervous system, insomnia, pain relief, skin care, hair care, blood circulation, indigestion, and immune system health.

Lemon

Extracted from the peels of ripe lemons grown in Cyprus and California, Lemon oil helps alleviate feelings of lethargy and mental congestion. Aided by the presence of limonene and β-Pinene, it offers a fresh and sweet aroma that can energize and uplift. Lemon oil can also help treat cuts, insect bites and stings.

Pine

Distilled from the needles of pine trees and supercharged by the terpene α-Pinene, pine has stimulating and grounding effects. It aids in the treatment of respiratory complaints and offers a refreshing, sweet aroma. Pine oil may also help cleanse skin and soothe aches and pains.

Rose

With its rich floral aroma, rose oil can both stimulate and comfort the senses. Aided by the terpenes citronellol and geraniol, rose oil is widely used in skin care products to benefit dry, inflamed and mature skin. A cell rejuvenator, it can help heal burns and fight infection.

1. Line up and match the cue cards to the aromas.

2. Open the stick and holding with your hand, place just under your right nostril (do not place in your nose). Take 3 short sniffs and exhale out your nose. As you are smelling, concentrate on the visual picture of the rose flower and think about when you may have last smelled a rose, given a bouquet to someone, or smelled one in the garden.

3. Repeat with Left nostril.
